Questions people ask before applying.
Cost, pace, tools, credentials, LinkedIn, and what happens after the capstone.
Start with the practical stuff.
Account and sign-in
Can I change the email used on my account?
Sign-in is tied to the LinkedIn account used for your application. If you changed the primary email on that LinkedIn account and now see Access Denied, revert to the original LinkedIn email when possible, clear cache, and try again. If you want program messages sent somewhere else, add a secondary email in your portal profile; secondary email is for communication, not a replacement for the LinkedIn sign-in identity.
Why do I get Access Denied when signing in with LinkedIn?
This usually means you signed in with a different LinkedIn account or email than the one tied to your application, or you changed the primary email on LinkedIn. Sign in with the same LinkedIn account you used when applying, and revert the LinkedIn primary email when possible. If LinkedIn blocks sign-in or you cannot access that LinkedIn account, approved interns may use the private email sign-in fallback at the access URL FlyRank support sends them.
Can I sign in without LinkedIn if LinkedIn is blocking me?
Approved interns who cannot sign in with LinkedIn can use the private email access page that FlyRank support sends them, usually the /access URL for the portal. The fallback must use the same email tied to the approved FlyRank application. Use the secure link or one-time code from the latest FlyRank sign-in email, and request a new email if the link or code expires.
I am not receiving program email updates. What should I do?
Check spam, promotions, and the email address saved on your profile. Add a secondary email in the portal if another inbox is more reliable. The portal receipt, announcements, Events, and Support are still the source of truth, so check the portal at least weekly. If email still looks wrong, contact support with your application ID.
Where do official announcements live?
The intern portal is the source of truth for cohort announcements. Email, Google Group messages, calendar entries, and community posts are supporting channels, but they can be missed, delayed, or filtered. If you are unsure what is current, check the portal first, then contact support with the announcement or event context.
Should I upload my CV, and who can see it?
Uploading a CV is useful because it gives career-readiness tools, CV audits, and future recruiting-partner workflows better context. Your CV is private to FlyRank staff and evaluators, not public, and you can remove it from your profile. Uploading a CV does not replace track assignments, capstones, or credential requirements.
I hit a technical error. What should I do?
Try another browser, another device, or a private/incognito window, then reload. If a submission shows a temporary server or render error, wait a moment and try again. If it persists, contact support with a screenshot, your browser and device, the page URL, and what you were doing.
